Reinhardt Brandt, born in 1937. Studies: Greek, Latin, History of Art, Philosophy in Marburg, Munich and Paris. Since 1972, Professor of Philosophy in Marburg and has been Visiting Professor at many universities (in Caracas, Bloomington, Canberra, Padua, Naples and Lucerne). Fields of special interest are the philosophy of classical antiquity, the Enlightenment (with emphasis on Kant) and aesthetics.
